Why are people so mean?

Because they are Philistines. Do anything and someone will make fun of you. And in the middle of the night the wack jobs really come out of the woodwork. I used to listen to Larry King Live on the radio at night and he did not seem to use a screener. All sorts of weirdoes used to call in. It was kind of the aural equivalent of reading the graffiti in a gas station bathroom.
