How do I get sound through my TV using an HDMI cable?

The HDMI standard is a Video standard that supports audio transport. Typically the audio is controlled thru the video card control panel (at least to enable it) for the initial settings. You will also need to go to the sound control panel in Vista/7 to enable it there too.
