How to Edit PDF Properties?

I've tried google and cant seem to find an answer. I like to save articles and such in PDF format for easy access later. I would like to edit the author/keywords in properties so that I could more easily find what I'm looking for. It seems the easiest way is acrobat pro, but I cant believe there isn't a freeware program that lets you edit PDF properties.
