What happened to the MTV Movie Awards after 2007 ??!? Are they becoming a joke ?? (Serious Question)?

Looking at the movies that won best picture at the MTV Movie Awards I could honestly think that this was a legitamite Awards Show but after 2007 (2005, 2006 were pretty weird also) terrible movies were chosen for best picture...... Tranformers for 2008, Twilight for 2009, and heres the kicker New Moon for 2010................ to even imply that Pulp Fiction, The Matrix, Terminator 2, Gladiator, Seven , The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and even Titatic (which I don't personally like but still) is insulting on numerous levels. How did they become such a joke???
