Can I have more SNES help please?

First of all, thankyou to everyone who helped me with the connecting of snes to telly. I'm connected now, and got the right channel I think. But it just comes up with' nintendo presents' and then the screen goes back to no signal mode ( the snes is still on, it doesn't go off itself.) I have a feeling it is the game cartridge that's faulty- if I can get a cartridge in good working order then do you think that'll solve it? Please tell me this is the end of my snes woes!
